Welcome to UNIPHE
Use of Sub-National Indicators to Improve Public Health in Europe (UNIPHE)
The aim of the project is to develop a sustainable environmental health monitoring system comprising a set of sub-national indicators to improve public health across Europe and facilitate the comparability of health status and data. In addition, the project aims to identify policies and interventions that deliver positive health outcomes and enable transferability to other regions throughout Europe.

This three year project is co-funded by the European Commission within the framework of Work Plan 2008 for the implementation of the Second Program for Community Action in the field of Public Health (2008-2013). A consortium of 7 European countries (Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and United Kingdom) has been tasked to deliver this project to the Commission.
