About UNIPHE
UNIPHE Summary:
The UNIPHE project is co-financed by the European Commission – DG Sanco (Grant Agreement No 2008 13 04), co-ordinated by Health Protection Agency, UK and involves partner institutions from 6 other European countries. The project is building on work done by the ENHIS project which developed a harmonised system of a core set of environment health indicators to monitor and report health status of populations at a national level. However, it is recognised that sub-populations can have unique features and exposure pattern which predisposes them to health outcomes which differ from those trends observed nationally. Given this, the project will develop a set of sub-national indicators, hosted on the ENHIS portal, to enable regional assessments of the health status of populations within Europe.
